#AllareWelcomehere
We are spreading the message that #allarewelcomehere on June 20th, 2019 again. This year, we want to invite anyone who wants to join our social media movement #allarewelcomehere, in hopes of filling social media with this positive message.
Last year, over 400 teachers posted on World Refugee Day using the #allarewelcomeinmyclassroom on Instagram, we hope to spread the message even further this year.
Right now, there is a lot of hate and negativity on social media and in the world. I started this movement to be a role model for my students to show them how to be global, digital citizens and express their opinion in a positive manner. But, more importantly, I want my students to know that no matter what is going on in the world, that they are loved, safe, valued, and welcomed into our classroom.
Anyone who wants to participate can do so by printing out these signs (click picture below) on bright colored paper and posting a picture to social media with the hashtag #allarewelcomehere on June 20th (Don't forget to wear wear the Kind Cotton #allarewelcomehere shirt as well). June 20th is World Refugee Day and June is Pride Month so there is no better time to show the world that all are welcome. You can download the signs by clicking on the picture below.
