Graphic Organizers of Vocabulary Terms in Different Languages

I sent home a worksheet that parents filled out with out their student of the vocabulary words we are going to cover. The parents with their child wrote the vocabulary terms and how to say it in their home language.

I have the students teach their classmates how to say different vocabulary words in their home language. Then the student taught the words to the class and we created a graphic organizer of all of the words. It gives students a sense of pride of their language and culture to teach their classmates new words. It also shows that we value their home language.
